Hollyhill Heatwave (Heat Wave)

This elusive variety was sold to me as Heatwave, but I believe it is Hollyhill Heatwave. It is a soft yellow dahlia with warm undertones and subtle red flecking and streaking scattered across the petals. The blooms are smaller and full, with a slightly relaxed form that gives them a natural, garden feel rather than a perfectly tight shape. It’s a very productive variety, pumping out a high number of stems all season long, and it’s one of those easy fillers that adds warmth and interest without taking over a palette.
